Toyota Prius LE
The LE is the efficiency leader and the entry point. It rides on 17-inch wheels and uses cloth upholstery. Standard equipment includes an eight-inch touchscreen, a six-speaker audio system and dual-zone automatic climate control.
Toyota Prius XLE
The XLE is the value inflection point. It adds 19-inch alloy wheels and SofTex®-trimmed seating with an eight-way power driver’s seat. It also brings heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a wireless charging pad and front and rear parking sensors.
Toyota Prius Nightshade
The Nightshade uses the XLE as its base and darkens everything. Wheels, bumper trim, badging and mirror caps all go black. Inside, a carbon-fiber-look accent runs across the dash and the SofTex seats get gray stitching. It is the only grade offered in Karashi.
Toyota Prius Limited
The Limited tops the range. It comes standard with the 12.3-inch touchscreen and eight-speaker JBL® Premium Audio, plus a fixed glass roof and a power liftback. An available Limited Premium Package adds Advanced Park and a Panoramic View Monitor.

How Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive Works
The system uses a separate rear-mounted electric motor. Wheel-speed and G-force sensors tell it when the rear wheels need power. It sends power back there, then returns to front-drive on its own. You never touch a switch.
There is no mechanical driveshaft. That reduces wheel slip and improves cornering stability without sacrificing the fuel efficiency the Prius is known for.
EV Mode and Braking
A selectable EV Mode runs the car on electric power alone at low speeds, which helps in parking garages. It includes a Vehicle Proximity Notification system to alert pedestrians. An Electronically Controlled Brake system blends regenerative and hydraulic braking to recover energy every time you slow down.
